Options are just not limited to stocks only because options are used in many other markets like; real estate, bonds, indexes, etc. Now talking about stock option it is actually a legal contract that gives the contract owner the right to buy or sell stock of a specific quantity at a set price before a specific date. Stock option is a legal contract therefore it is a standardized term and the nature and structure of stock option makes it possible to trade in these stocks just like we trade in real stocks. Option trading is the trading of stock options over an exchange which means that instead of trading directly in stocks, trading is done in options that are offered on the existing stocks. This means that one doesn’t actually have to own the stocks to do option trading. Some of the successful investors believe that options trading is an investment of the rich. Trading in option allows you to make more money on the stock than if you bought the stock itself. Usually traders with small funds opt for option trading as they do not have the means to buy the actual stocks and they are able to make profits while risking only a small amount of money. So, when used properly, option trading is suitable for traders of any risk tolerance.
